GRATITUDE.❤️‍🔥 I really am the worst at remembering to take backstage pics, but my love for this cast is unending!! 🥲 This cast is truly and utterly BRILLIANT. We've all overcome so much to get to this point in our respective careers, and I feel honored beyond words to dance alongside them. I first heard of @theempirestripsback in 2017 just before a stage accident made me almost incapacitated for 6months. I could barely think, walk, and my neurologist said I should prepare for the fact that I might never dance again - but I never forgot how COOL this show was. It took almost 3yrs before I'd recovered enough to really train again, and 5yrs later, I was able to submit an audition! And I am now working as a full-time dancer for this impeccably nerdy production. My story is not unlike many of theirs, and I couldn't be more proud to call THESE BEAUTIFUL HUMANS my colleagues.💖💖💖 We began rehearsals on June 20th, opened on July 6th, survived losing a few of us to COVID for a spell... but we reunited with a vengeance! So well, in fact, that we were offered an extension to our contracts!! From closing August 28th to October 2nd instead. This SF residency really has been a dream come true - and for so many reasons! It's hard work (seriously hard some days), but I really do feel Honored and Humbled to work alongside each one of these beauties. Some of the most exceptionally trained badasses in the business... and I CAN'T WAIT for y'all to see how we're KILLING IT eight shows per week.
