On October 2 at Burke’s Books, I’ll be sitting down with Billups Allen (@cramholezine) for a reading and discussion of his incredible book I Exhibited Films For A Year. I Lost Money, But I Think I Made My Point, available now on @gonerrecords. If you haven’t read it, it’s a wonderful, funny account of the hazards of DIY booking and the love of the game you must have in order to preserve. A must read for the punks, even if you have no interest in film. Swipe through for the flyer. I’ve done interviews in my life, but never something like this. The event is totally free and we’ll have refreshments (I think), so come through and watch us laugh about booking screenings for no one.
