I’ve been a mom for almost 9months...I might have been a Mom for less than 1 minute when this picture (1) was taken and maybe 1 hour into morherhood (picture2) I wish I could go back to that pure bliss feeling before so much LIFE kicked in.
🫶🏽If I could have written a note from the future I would have told the ‘New Me’ that you will loose touch with people you never would have imagined, you will gain new support from people who were once strangers. You will become so comfortable and confident in your ability to breastfeed. Your anxiety is real, you don’t feel the same, you will question what you want to do in life, your biggest joy has just arrived. I have been struggling with postpartum anxiety that it has changed my world so much. My smiles my joy are genuine but the constant anxiety is just as real. At times I wish I could go back to my life before being a Mom and then I loose my purpose in life. My life now is the biggest blessing ever.
🫶🏽I am still adjusting emotionally, mentally and physically. Motherhood is something words can’t describe I remember hearing that before I became a Mom and then I understood 100% that same quote that once had no weight to it. The rollercoaster of ups and downs after becoming a Mom has made my natural unmediated child birth feel more doable than this at times. Maybe because I was more aware of the process and felt prepared? I’m only 9 months into being a Mom I love being a Mom but adjusting to all the changes Motherhood brings into your life: I’m still trying to manage that. My truth my joy 🫶🏽
🫶🏽 I’m now in a space to share more. To everyone who can relate or emphasize I welcome the support. Or if you know a new Mom hopefully you can find a way to support the new parent the way they need support not just how you want to support. It’s not about you. That pressure can cause more harm.

🫶🏽 10 to 15 percent of new moms suffer from postpartum anxiety, and about half of those who have postpartum depression will also experience postpartum anxiety.
