After closing last year for conservation, we are thrilled to announce that Walter De Maria’s “The New York Earth Room” (1977) and “The Broken Kilometer” (1979) are now open to visitors. Both works were commissioned and maintained by Dia and have remained on long-term view since their installation in the 1970s. “The New York Earth Room” is located at 141 Wooster Street, New York and “The Broken Kilometer” is located at 393 West Broadway, New York. Both sites are open to the public, and are accessible year-round free of charge, Wednesday to Sunday, 12 to 3 pm and 3:30 to 6 pm.
