The Prettiest New Moroccan Restaurant in NYC - @ayahrestaurant in SoHo. A blink and you’ll walk past entrance on Houston Street actually transports you to beautiful Marrakesh - hanging lamps, painted ceilings, beautiful textiles and overall stunning interiors. Live music and dancing takes over on some nights (unfortunately not when we visited). The food was quite interesting. It wasn’t my favorite but I also went out of my comfort zone to try a tuna kofta tagine which may not have been the right choice. The pistachio crème brûlée was delicious though as was the Moroccan tea! The restaurant is buzzy and the crowd is stylish - the perfect excuse to dress up! I recommend going in groups so you can book the stunning bigger tables.
