Can I Exercise Early Postpartum?
Short answer yes, but it will not look like your workouts during pregnancy or prior to pregnancy.
This is the time to reconnect your mind and body including your diaphragm, abdominals, and pelvic floor. It looks a lot like rehab, because that’s what it is. You can start with these exercises in the first week of your postpartum chapter. If you are unsure, seek help from a medical provider like us!
- Diaphragmatic breathing with Transverse Abdominis activation, and pelvic floor contraction with exhalation
- Supine band pull a parts for postural strength
- Supine Glute bridges for hip strength and stability
