Since I can remember my grandma loved makeup and skincare. Still she would joke about the ridiculousness of the ideas of beauty she felt women have to fulfill, the obsession our world has with eternal youth. I created this artwork together with her in that spirit - her beautifully aged skin that tells a the story of her life, and our strange obsession with erasing that. Why would we want to rid ourselves of the marks of the years that made us wiser?
