This year gutted me, in some harsh ways and some wonderful ones. It’s been three years since I left New York for New Mexico, and in that time life has felt to be a slow moving rollercoaster within myself. A time which felt like I was losing everything I had built over the past 14 years, I realized that it was instead my intuition guiding me to let it go...to live with the wind for a bit. To fall in love and connect with the earth and let it guide me. Lately, I feel a strong renaissance within myself. New dreams of work to create, a new optimism for the unknown ahead and the renewal of beginning again. Solo adventures have always brought me perspective and strength, so that’s exactly how I chose to close my year and begin a new one... I drove west to Monument Valley, said to be the heart of the earth, a sacred place of the Diné people in Navajo Nation. Walking amongst the formations, I felt as though I were as momentous as the monuments. The fog embracing me as I stood tall against the arid land after feeling like a tumbleweed for so long... I am so grateful for you all being here with me over the years and wishing you lots of empowered moments as you go forth into the New Year!
