Private O’Brien from Texas has a whole new life and meaning now! 😆 Last night was a pretty magical ride and if you were at the August Wilson you know what I’m talking about. HERstory was made! I had the amazing HONOR to perform the RatTat tap featured duet in the show. 5 year old Riah definitely joined me and I’m not mad about it. 😂😂 For those who don’t know- that duet is typically done by 2 male ensemble members, but LAST NIGHT- ya girl got to step up and show that women can tap dance (in a heel 😅) and keep up with the guys on THE BROADWAY!! Especially doing @ayolives choreo!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Another bucket list moment to swing into a track but to top it off, for a track I have never done! Don’t get me wrong- I wanted to throw up until that moment but I had a second in the wing by myself before stepping out and i simply said “Mariah, this is what you have been dreaming of. You’re going to be fine. Show em what you’re made of, and don’t you dare drop that gun!!” I also simultaneously blacked out and not sure exactly what i did but HEY!!! Hahaha i couldn’t have done it without my amazing DC @cbcoasters for believing in me, making it happen and having a moment to calm the nerves. And to the entire @funnygirlbwy cast in the wings cheering me on. Also @connormcrory IT WAS SO MUCH FUN sharing the stage with you and literally smiling through it all! Wow!
