After checking in with each other, we’ll dive into a warmup that will lead into various improvisational tasks and choreographic ideas rooted in play. Letting the music wash over us we’ll move & groove, sense & listen to our bodies, and potentially make bold choices both individually and as a group. Come as you are, tap into the groove, and have fun! About Matt Barry (They/Them) is a queer multidisciplinary artist currently based in the Bay Area. Interested in embodiment and authenticity, they play with movement, sound, and drag, to craft inherently queer and thematically enriched worlds that speak to the larger human experience. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Matt is a recent graduate of the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program. Through the program and beyond, Matt has collaborated with choreographers such as Chuck Wilt, Eric Garcia, Kayla Farrish, Natasha Adorlee, Alex Ketley, Maurya Kerr, and more.
