Il piccolo e grazioso comune di Casperia si trova tra la sponda sinistra del Tevere ed il versante occidentale dei Monti Sabini. Per le sue qualità ambientali e turistiche ha ottenuto il riconoscimento di Bandiera Arancione da parte del Touring Club Italiano. Il centro storico di Casperia rappresenta un vero e proprio esempio di architettura medievale; vi si accede da due porte principali, Porta Romana (ad ovest) e Porta S. Maria (ad est). È formato da una struttura a “bulbo di cipolla”, con strade a cerchi concentrici che via via si restringono, inerpicandosi sui versanti del colle per finire nella Piazza San Giovanni Battista, dove troverete l’omonima chiesa, uno dei tanti esempi di struttura religiosa che val la pena visitare. For its environmental and tourist qualities, it has been awarded the Orange Flag recognition by the Italian Touring Club. The historical centre of Casperia is a true example of medieval architecture; it is accessed through two main gates, Porta Romana (to the west) and Porta S. Maria (to the east). It is made up of an 'onion bulb' structure, with streets in concentric circles that gradually narrow, climbing up the slopes of the hill to end up in Piazza San Giovanni Battista, where you will find the church of the same name, one of the many examples of a religious structure worth visiting.
