October 6th, 2024 To our Heavenly Father, Thank you. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for saving me. Thanking you for bringing color back into my life. Thank you for being a peaceful presence like no other. Thank you for sending your Son to die on that Cross for my sins. A little over a year ago, I surrendered it all to Christ. I couldn’t take the heaviness of this world on my shoulders any longer. I faced a brutal battle against substance abuse and mental health struggles. Instead of seeking the high that I always thought was healing me, I ended up coming face to face with the low that broke me. I couldn’t accept that I was completely consumed by trying to be someone who I was not. Being at one of the lowest points of my life I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror and say that I recognized myself. No one could. I didn’t want the life that I was living so I gave it to someone who did, and that was Jesus. This past Sunday I took a faithful step of obedience to share my story. To share with the world that Jesus does save and he does love YOU. He sees everyone as worthy, even if it doesn’t feel like it. If you feel like you’re at a point of seeking something more, just know, you were entirely made for MORE. It’s easy to ignore the call when it rings. It’s easy to decline that call when you’re drowning in depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and that’s all that consumes your conscious. But you know what’s easier? Letting Jesus handle that all. Letting Jesus take control. And most importantly letting Jesus wash you clean. He will meet you where you are. It’s just a matter of answering that call and saying “I can’t do this anymore”. Let him turn your pain into purpose, I promise it’s worth it. To everyone who tagged along this beautiful journey with Christ I love you, but God loves you more!
