🫒 A visit to the olive groves 🕊️ Some of our Barrafina and @parrillanlondon head chefs have just returned from Corella, in Navarra, visiting @martiniegaoliveoil, the estate our extra virgin olive oil comes from. The team, along with our suppliers, @mevalco_, visited just after the harvest and were lucky enough to try some of the first of the new season’s verdant, peppery olive oil, before the cold filtering process. We ate at the brothers behind Martiniega - Carlos and Javier’s - family restaurant @elcrucerocorella, sampling seasonal local specialities like cardo rojo. We were also welcomed into a family BBQ, with home grown tomatoes and peppers, all anointed in the grassy green oil.
