I don’t often write these things here, but I’d like to bring some honesty into my feed. Lately I’ve had a hard time balancing work and life, and it gets pretty enhanced when I become aware of how taxing it is to be in another country, away from my family, my life long friends, my culture, food, LANGUAGE, and the list goes on and on. It’s not easy to be an immigrant and certainly makes you feel very lonely at times. I came here to work, to make my dreams come true, and I am so blessed that I do what I love every day, but it definitely comes to a cost with many many sacrifices. I am beyond grateful y le voy a seguir chingando, but I needed to take this time to acknowledge that this is not a straight line, I am a human who gets tired and longs for the life I left behind, but with my heart moving towards the life I want to build for my future.
