I got to the airport SO early that I must have done my airport math wrong. Thus I was forced to eat a delicious breakfast at @secondbarkitchen instead of throwing a protein bar down my throat.
Guess who will always be early to the airport and literally never late? This girl, jokers. I am a pathologically early traveler and I will tell you why: Not ONE second saved because I wanted to push the limits is worth Travel AnxietyTM️. Not one.
When I feel like my plane might be boarding and I am still in security, I turn into a manic, unreasonable, sweaty lunatic. If I am running through an airport, you know: 1.) Something has gone dreadfully wrong like I was in a five-car pileup on the way to the airport, and 2.) I am in full mental and physical distress.
When that Progressive commercial came out with the early travelers theme, all my kids snapped their heads around and said IT’S YOU, MOM. It sure is, and guess who has never missed a flight, dumb dumbs.
I want to have so much time at my gate that I almost live there now. I want to be the first person to board. GET ME COMFORTABLY SETTLED ON MY AIRPLANE IN A CALM MANNER.
@thetylermerrittproject accommodates my early airport needs even though he would prefer to saunter to the gate as it is boarding like a sociopath. No man is perfect.
On my way to Napa (what a dump) to join @daniellewalker for her cookbook launch event! “Healthy in a Hurry” is out today and there are still tix available for tonight! (I’ll link it all in stories)
I just boarded my plane (Southwest - place in line: A3) and I have been in this airport *through security* (because you KNOW I have Clear and TSA Pre✔️ and anything else they will invent to get me through faster) for almost an hour and a half. Lol, me.
Early to airports y/n and why is everyone else wrong.
