For this particular job I tested full frame lenses from 7 different manufacturers. We we're trying to achieve a specific look that was pristine, beautiful, and that would envelope the characters. From these tests we fell in love with Optimo Primes. They are beautifully crafted like all Angenieux lenses. The focus fall off and bokeh are unique. We decided to use a Tiffen 1/8 Glimmer Glass internal IOP. With this, it was like seeing the light through a glass of champagne. For some scenes we added netting in the back of the lens in lieu of rear filtration. This created a timeless glow in the highlights.
