I remember going through high school, an Afrikaans, all boys, rugby playing high school - unable to relate to anyone around me. I thought that life was going to be a struggle, filled with days desperately trying to fit in. And then, 18 year old me walked into a nightclub and it all changed. I discovered my people. The ones who helped me step into my power and remind me that I’m born to stand out. Over a decade of friendship between us, we’ve loved, lost and texted every day since. We were lucky enough to take second to reflect on this moment together with @hm as part of the global #pride campaign and OMG the little 16 year old me is crying. Here’s to love.
