Artist Bisa Butler translates archival photographs into vibrant, life-sized portraits that celebrate Black lives and honor the Black experience. The LACMA Store has partnered with Bisa Butler to produce a print and t-shirt based on her work “Forever”, 2020, a quilted portrait of the late actor Chadwick Boseman, and a portion of the sales will be given to the Chadwick Boseman Foundation for the Arts. “Forever”, 2020, is included in the exhibition “Black American Portraits” currrently at LACMA.
