I can’t believe we’re already 2 weeks into 2025! I thought it’d be fun to “reintroduce” myself and introduce myself to the new faces around here (btw I’m so happy you’re here 🫶🏻). Below are some things about me. Tell me something about yourself in the comments 🤍 • I was born and raised in Chicago (on the south side in Beverly) and moved to the city after I graduated college (go Illini!). I always thought I’d live in the city forever and raise my family there. Fast forward to a few years later and we’re happily living in the western suburbs. I love it a lot more than I thought I would (but I still miss the city sometimes). • I met my husband, Nick, at Kirkwood Bar in Lakeview in 2011. We met through friends and started dating shortly after that. We’ve been married for 8 years and have 2 adorable daughters, Delaney (she’ll be 3 in February) and Sasha (she turned one in October), and a labradoodle named Josie. • I always knew I wanted to be a mom but I never knew when I’d be ready. I think it’s ok to not feel ready but still want kids. • I’m the youngest of two - I have an older sister who lives in the burbs as well. We lost our mom to cancer almost 8 years ago. It still feels surreal typing that out. • I played volleyball my whole life but haven’t played in years. It’s on my list to find a league to join in the next year. • I love fashion and always have. I quit my job in the hospitality industry to move into fashion. I worked for Michael Kors, French Connection and BCBG Max Azria doing visual merchandising. • I love food and love to eat. I started @somethingwhittyeats to share more recipes and my love for food. • I love to travel and always like to have a trip to look forward to. • My favorite cocktail is an espresso martini or an Aperol spritz. But I really love my Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand. • My guilty pleasure is good bread and butter 😂 I could live on the bread basket and skip the entrée. • Ted Lasso is one of my favorite shows.
