Easing into the start of the 2025 vintage. This morning we brought in Pinot Noir for sparkling from our Mae Estate. Normally our fruit is harvested at night, but with such a small pick and a warm stretch this week, an early morning pass made the most sense to capture the numbers we look for in sparkling. The crew pulled the clusters that were ready, leaving about half for a second pass soon. We are still a few weeks out from picking for still wine, but this heat has helped cap off a great growing season. And what’s a morning in Lompoc without a rocket launch? #sbcwine #srhwine #cawine
