This weekend was amazing, 3 days of seeing friends from all over the country. Handling clients & friends, cheering on others, & competing with the strongest group of humans I have ever had the chance to compete with. None of this happens alone, especially not with the hectic life I have. Thank you to my gym family @circlecitystrength thank you for treating our gym like your own, thank you for helping create such an amazing environment to train & be a safe haven for so many. Thank you to @traceybree for all of your help with CCS while running your own coaching business & prepping for a killer 9/9 meet. Thank you to everyone who worked the inaugural @powerlifting.united Nationals but especially @barbell_al @darionkelly26 @ana_smash @g_rock2o @mckendreepowerlifting & the rest of the spotters, loaders & refs. The last couple of years in powerlifting has been weird & so many people spent countless hours making this amazing meet happen. Thank you to @paytonpowerandperformance for the patience to deal with me, I am a nightmare client & you have found a way to continually make me a better powerlifter no matter what my schedule looks like. Most importantly thank you to @etcarrus I am not easy to love & I make that even harder at times when I am in prep. You never cease to amazing me with how much you care about everyone but especially me. You make my crazy life so much better & again on the day you made sure everything was easy & stress free. I cannot wait until April to officially make you a Shepard ❤️ I am not sure exactly when I will step on the platform next but I am already looking forward to the feeling I get when I compete. There’s nothing like it, powerlifting can be a frustrating sport & community at times but there’s nothing like hearing those words “The bar is loaded” with a weight you don’t know if you can lift with people you love cheering for you.
