On our first morning hiking the trails around @evaccfoundation we found more familiar 🦋 sights. Common blue morphos (Morpho helenor) bounced up and down streams in the narrow patches of sunlight, visible through the thick understory as brilliant flashes of metallic blue. We suspected that we may have seen some Morpho menelaus amathonte as well but I’ll have to have some faster netting skills to confirm!
