🌊📢 Calling all ocean lovers in San Francisco! This Saturday, September 17 is #InternationalCoastalCleanupDay, and we're celebrating by hosting a special Ocean Beach clean up at Sloat Blvd. Will you join us? In honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day and our Restore Sloat Campaign, we’re teaming up with @heirstoouroceans to conduct a youth-led brand audit to identify the companies responsible for plastic pollution and help to hold them accountable. We’ll be submitting this data to our @surfrider database, @5Gyres, and @BreakFreeFromPlastic to identify the major polluters and help stop plastic pollution at the source. We encourage participants to bring their own gloves, grabbers, or buckets. Come on down and help save the beach! We’ll also be sharing how folks in the San Francisco Bay Area can take part in our Restore Sloat campaign. Ocean Beach is experiencing long term erosion and the area at Sloat Blvd is a particular hotspot – we’ll be talking about ways you can get involved to help us #RestoreSloat!
