A few things I want to say here...not to mention the fact that we're all wearing my [ad-own brand]
1. @pocketsport really does look good on anyone and everyone🧨... thanks Sam for proving that not only Harry Styles reserves the right to look good in flares.
2. I've been incredibly blessed to have the support of my family throughout this mad journey. It must be really bloody hard for them to navigate this whole experience too. It's really hard to know what to say to someone suffering with PTSD. I have written a lot about what not to say over the months. One of the things that annoyed me the most when I was really struggling was when people would say 'oh but you're alive' or 'oh but you've got a beautiful son, try and focus on him'. When you're not functioning it doesn't really matter what you've got around you. Trying to be grateful for things sadly isn't a priority. Now that I can think rationally of course it's lovely to be grateful and trust me I try and INHALE as much love and delight out of my son as possible to make sure I keep putting my best foot forward.
Zara and my mum have been amazing at reminding me that i'm constantly making progress and I know they're always researching what it's like to live with such a multitude of conditions. Sometimes it's not easy to explain or understand. That's why I don't expect people to know what i'm going through and I also don't judge people for saying the wrong thing. I'm going to share one of the messages Zara wrote to me about a month ago in my stories (too long for here) which made me feel SO SEEN and SO UNDERSTOOD and SO LOVED. It started...
Hi my love. ❤️ I wanted to write you a message after seeing you today to send you support and love, and to let you know we are all in this together with you...
stories for the rest. It's a shame there is a limit on instagram captions.
The last thing I wanted to say was
3. Looking through these photos I noticed that you can see one of my scars through my gym leggings and i'm kind of cool with it. The way our bodies are designed for survival is pretty incredible and this is part of me now. No more striving for the 'perfect' body, what a waste of time that is.
