🥳New Blog Post up! and it’s all about sharing any interesting cleanser science out there🔬 🧼One mini study (n=13 acne subjects) looked at just how helpful an acne cleanser could truly be in treating acne. They compared an acne cleanser (triclosan, salicylic acid, azelaic acid) vs. placebo cleanser twice daily for 4 weeks and continued to monitor for an additional 4 weeks after. 👏While there wasn't a big difference in non-inflammatory lesions, they found better performance with the acne cleanser for inflammatory lesions. 🤔What's the takeaway? This IS a pretty tiny study, but we can still have some helpful takeaways! Cleansers won't be the ✨magical elixir✨ to erasing acne breakouts but can be a helpful added step to your routine to supplement your topical treatments! 🤔 What's NOT the takeaway? this study uses a... very unique blend including popular anti-bacterial soap active triclosan. Definitely don't start washing your face with antibacterial hand soap!
