I wrote about four highlights on the tape (Melinda, Qemist, Cel Shade, and Aquarian Blood), but you’ll have to pick up a copy to hear the whole thing. We’ll be slinging digital download codes too for the tapeless crowd. Huge shoutout to Liv from WYXR for asking me to do this. You’ll figure it out pretty fast from the post, but WYXR is one of my favorite parts about modern memphis music. I’m sure a lot of you feel the same. This tape is comprised of tracks from artists playing the fest, as well as tracks from a smattering of DJs’ projects. Really runs the gamut between punk, deep house, vaporwave, and tons of other musical ground. Very proud of how this turned out. All proceeds go towards helping WYXR with their mission of connecting people through music. Look for a Best Music of 2025 post on the Observer next month!
