While we've come a long way on our journey to true equality, this LGBTQ+ History Month comes at a time when Republican states across our country are actively working to undermine Americans’ rights, drag us backwards and roll back so much of the progress made on the backs of trans women of color. Many want to force our fellow Americans back into the closet, make them hide their most authentic selves and stop them from marrying who they love. Democrats won't let it happen. As Stonewall activist Marsha P. Johnson said, “No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.”
