“You were once” Is finally out in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Made this a little over a year ago in my bedroom & had absolutely no expectations, just an immense desperation to just tell my stories. I remember taking my dog for a walk to clear my head - we had started on a couple of ideas but none were clicking or feeling like the one. Just as I knelt down to pick up you know what 💩 🐶, it came to me. You were once: that feeling, whether it be romantic, friendship or a bittersweet goodbye, of reminding yourself in my case reminding myself that no matter how hard letting go feels, that once I held on to something beautiful & at a time in my life they were once everything. I think so often I forgot how amazing it was because of how sad it feels to lose, writing this song felt like the song I needed at the time to remind myself to look up a little more. Being scared & doing it anyway is more beautiful than being to scared to do it at all.
