Switching gears just a little as I look back on 2025, I didn’t have to look far to find a session that felt like a reflection of what I’m always trying to achieve. It’s ironic that this awkward family shoot ended up being one of the most genuine, real moments I photographed all year. On paper, it’s the opposite of what I usually talk about. It was in my studio. It was posed. We were recreating a specific image. (Can you spot the movie inspiration?) The laughter, joy, and energy this family brought into the space changed everything. What started as an idea turned into something honest and completely them. These images feel like joy to me.
