A bowl full of goodness that is perfect for these cooler mornings 🔥❤️🥄 For me porridge MUST be cooked on the hob, not in the microwave. The trick is a low heat and cook it slowly adding more milk towards the end🥰Maca powder is not only good for you, but adds an almost caramel like flavour to the oats. Have you tried it before?
◼️INGREDIENTS
70g oats
260ml dairy free milk
2 teaspoon cacao powder
20g vegan protein powder
1 heaped teaspoon of Maca powder
Toppings
1 tablespoon coconut yoghurt
1 heaped teaspoon peanut butter
1 teaspoon hemp seeds
1 teaspoon ground flaxseed
1/2 teaspoon cacao nibs
1 teaspoon pumpkin seeds
1 teaspoon hazelnuts
1 teaspoon cashew nuts
Handful of fresh berries
◼️METHOD
1. In a pan on a low-medium heat add the oats and roughly 2/3 of the milk. Cook slowly stirring every few minutes for at least 5 minutes, until it turns thick and creamy.
2. Add the cacao powder, protein powder, Maca powder and the rest of the milk. Combine well and cook for a couple minutes more.
3. Serve with the toppings above, and enjoy!
