In the latest issue we meet @smyth_myth to speak more about her latest project, a new outdoor kitchen in the outskirts of @skyhighfarmhudsonvalley Things were only getting started when we speak to Lexie and her partner Dan Colen around this wooden fire oven, the first main piece of this great project to be Photography by @stef_mitchell Words by @smyth_myth "Bread, the subject of my obsession for the last decade, has only grown more complex as I’ve sought, at times anxiously and at others giddily, to know it through and through. It began as something I made at home as a kind of therapy, and led me to an early career in restaurants and bakeries that left me feeling deprived and depraved. I began writing recipes and exploring the potential of didactic prose. One tangent to the next, I put sculptural edible forms in some galleries and in photographs, and finally followed bread’s trail back through mythology, politics, and the history of agriculture.
