We had an incredible night with @chinatownartbrigade and @the.illuminator at the People’s Projection! The crew pulled up with radical projections and photos by the late Corky Lee honoring past, present, and future labor fights in Chinatown and beyond. Shui Mak Ka and Huiying B. Chan’s @rememberingourlight words on the 1982 Garment Workers’ Strike 📢filled the streets, carrying us through the night. The Chinatown community brought the program to an inspiring close by activating the People’s Pad, writing slogans and sketching images as onlookers nodded and cheered👏Thank you to everyone who came through and showed us the strength and joy of labor solidarity and radical hope🤜🤛 🎊As we close out our celebrations for WOW’s 6th year, we invite you all to donate or become a sustaining donor to help us bloom into our 7th year of artist programs, cultural organizing, and intergenerational work.
