Extending its collaboration with @fondazionehenraux, @2050.plus has conceived the installation design for the second iteration of a double exhibition event in Querceta di Seravezza (LU): “Collezione Henraux 1960-1970”, and “Henraux International Sculpture Prize 2022”. Echoing industrial aesthetics and processes of marble refinement, the exhibition design by 2050+ boldly engages with the space of a former sawmill. Arranged in chronological order, a series of marble sculptures are displayed within a grid of 2.5 X 2.5 meters painted on the ground, marking out the area occupied by each work. In this way, the set up establishes a conceptual bridge between the current exhibition and the traditional system for storing marble blocks from the quarry; while also creating a unifying criteria for the display of the very heterogeneous pieces of the Henraux Collection. The grid on the ground is intertwined with three large blue areas accommodating the works of @nikitagale, @lorenzzzzzzzza and @himalisinghsoin, winners of the 2022 edition of the Prize. Finally, two industrial ladders allow the visitor to enjoy the works on display, as well the various spaces of the Henraux company, from a unique zenith perspective.
