3.31.2022- life is so sweet! Today I am twenty five (who let ME grow up) and it feels like my golden birthday bc for a long time I was sure life would consume me before I made it. I’m thankful I stuck around. I’m thankful for all of the teary nights and joyful mornings. I’m thankful I made the decision to look after myself. I’m thankful for my siblings whose love has held me together. I’m thankful to my friends for speaking life over me, for caring for me, and never missing an opportunity to reassure me of my purpose. In the last few days, upon reflecting on my quarter century of existence ;), I’ve developed a sense of pride for who I am and how I came to be. Life beat me down a million and one times before I realized that I was the one picking up the pieces, I was the one building, I was the one trying. It’s ME!! I’ll write a book about my 24th year; through the heartache and healing I leveled up to a caliber of bad bitch I once dreamed about. Cue The Payback by James Brown 🥳✨🕺🏾🍾
