Joanie and Dijon are two of my fave people on planet earth — they are the nicest / coolest humans. Joanie’s also an amazing stylist and Dijon, a genius level musician, so it made perfect sense to get them in front of the camera to act for the first time in our first narrative video. A lot of other things made perfect sense while Justin and I embarked on this journey to shoot our first video. We learned on set that there’s a difference between a Director of Photography and a Director. And that we were actually the director. Perfect sense. To be frank, everything about this shoot was stressful — like I had multiple dreams that I was back in school taking a test I didn’t study for stressful. The stress left a bad taste in my mouth. It made me think that our imagination was greater than our skill. Looking back, I was trippin. Shit’s hot.
