Lo logramos! 💙🦈💙🦈💙 Juntos estamos cambiando el futuro de los tiburones! Por primera vez en la historia 88 países votaron a favor de regular la mayor parte del comercio mundial de aletas y productos de tiburón durante #CITES y fue un honor y demasiado lindo, haber estado ahi para ser testigo y aportar mi granito de arena. Si bien todavía queda mucho trabajo por hacer, este es el primer paso para poder prevenir que esta especie fundamental para la salud de nuestros océanos se extinga. Fue hermoso vivir esto desde adentro de la convención y encontrarme con un montón de personas con las que comparto esta misma lucha y propósito, Gracias a Panama por tomar iniciativa en este lindisimo proyecto y a cada país, ONG, científicos, biólogos, periodistas y ambientalistas que estuvieron apoyando esta iniciativa. Se siente muy bien saber que no estamos solos en esto y que cada vez somos mas los que cuidamos el corazón azul del planeta. Gracias a ustedes por compartir siempre, movilizarse, preocuparse y escribirme sobre estas causas! For the first time in history 88 countries voted to regulate most of the global trade in shark fins and shark products during #CITES. It was an honor to be present doing my part for our oceans. There is still a lot of work to be done but this is the first step towards preventing this key species from extinction. It was great to experience this from inside the convention and to meet a lot of people with whom I share the same purpose. Thanks to Panama for taking the initiative in this beautiful project and to each country, NGO, scientists, biologists, journalists and environmentalists who were supporting this initiative. It feels great to know that we are not alone in this fight for our oceans and that there are more and more of us who care for the blue heart of the planet.
