Fluffy rose buns 🌹
Dough
500 g flour
140 ml lukewarm milk
140 ml warm water
100 ml vegetable oil
1/2 fresh yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon salt
Filling and Topping
50 g shredded cheese
1 skin of tomato
5 stems parsley
Mix together the flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Form a cavity in the center. First add water and yeast and mix them slowly with a fork. Then add milk, vegetable oil and mix with your hands to form a soft dough. Knead the dough well for 2-3 mins and form a smooth ball. Cover the dough and let it rest somewhere warm for 1 hour. Preheat your oven to 200C.
Pull clementine-size pieces out of the dough. Dip your hands into vegetable oil to prevent the dough from sticking.
Place 1 teaspoon of cheese in the center of each piece and mold the dough around it to form smooth balls. Place each ball on the kitchen counter and brush with oil. Carefully peel the tomato skin with a knife and form roses, use parsley for the the stems and leaves. Bake until golden brown.
