Some records are not happy ones. Like hunger in West Africa, which has reached levels never seen before. The war in Ukraine is causing serious challenges for the world's economy, with a particularly dramatic impact on low-income countries. But it's just one of the many reasons why people in West Africa are facing food and nutrition crises of exceptional proportions. The multiple conflicts devastating the region have driven millions from their homes and increased food insecurity as people abandon their homes to escape violent attacks, leaving vital crops 🌾 and herds 🐄. Together with our humanitarian partners, we are working to help those most in need, and to address the root causes of hunger in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Nigeria.
