a short, sweet, and somewhat spontaneous trip to singapore 🇸🇬 sometimes as an author, my mind gets all consumed by publishing. not just the writing part, but the business side of things, the current and constant flux of the industry. most of the time i feel like i’m barely keeping up and maybe i should be doing more, knowing more, or maybe i know too much already. but this trip was a much needed reminder that actually i’m fine and the world doesn’t revolve around publishing. there’s life to be lived in the garden, in the rain, with the back alley dessert. you don’t always have to go away to get a fresh perspective, but i’m grateful that this time around that’s how it found me
