Sheba “bubba” Greene 9/8/2010-9/5/2022 Our lovely Sheba girl has moved on to run and play with the ancestors. Sheba was not merely our pet but a sibling to Kai and a four-legged daughter to me. Her kind eyes and loving energy were felt by so many, with her being the first dog that many little kids would pet or play with and my mom who who swore she was “allergic” to dogs when I was kid, falling in love with her and doting on her whenever she could. That same energy worked as a bond for our family unit, with her spending so much lovely time with Kai and my ex-wife, truly being a family dog. Her health deteriorated so quickly that it still feels surreal and I expect her to brush up against me while I write this and urge me, Jedi-like, to the treats over the fridge as she would do when she saw me working at my desk. I’ve shed a pond of tears for this animal who couldn’t speak but was one of the most effective communicators I’ve ever been around. Sheba girl, our Bubba bear, our soccer buddy and all around athlete, our empath of a friend who knew when you were down and would come over for hugs and lay at your feet in solidarity, we miss you, we mourn you. We’re so grateful for the time we had with you and couldn’t stand to see you in pain. Please visit us in our dreams and know that you will never be forgotten. We love you.
