🍂Yellowing leaves on your houseplants can be caused by a number of conditions. Sometimes the cause is obvious, which means that you can diagnose and fix it immediately. There are other times when the problem is more of a mystery. In these cases, you’ll need to try changing one thing at a time until you see improvement in your plant. Do your best to eliminate these common reasons for yellowing leaves, then wait to see what happens.
🌱 If your plant is root bound, you have a few options. You can either repot the plant in a bigger container, prune the roots and repot in the same container or divide the plant, if appropriate, and repot the two divisions.
❄️ Shifts in temperature–hot or cold–affects the health and color of leaves as well. When prolonged cool temperatures or late spring cold drafts occur, your plants–especially tender vegetable plants such as tomatoes and cucumbers–may lose their color.
☀️ Sunburn may cause dark burn-like spots on leaves or can cause full yellowing of leaves receiving too much sun. Move a sunburned plant to an area with less direct light, away from windows that might magnify the sun’s rays.
🌱There are also a few more causes for yellow leaves. If you know any, write in the comments. 📝🌿
