EPIC TAHITIAN BLACK SAND BEACH 🤩🙌🏼🖤🌊 TRAVEL TIP: While Tahiti (PPT) is the gateway to enter all of the other French Polynesian islands, many choose to skip over exploring Tahiti enroute to places like Bora Bora &/or Moorea. This is so unfortunate as Tahiti has a ton of amazing gems! I highly reccomend staying even just for 1 night and rent a car for the day to explore! Driving is easy as the main road loops around the entire island, you don’t need an international driver’s license and they also drive on the right 🚗 📍Taharuu Beach—Papara, Tahiti 🇵🇫 My FAVE gem on the island was Taharuu Beach on Tahiti’s southern coast in Papara. It’s characterized by its volcanic black sands, leafy green palm trees and it’s width. This beach is large, meaning there’s plenty of room to spread out and soak up the sun, and it’s framed by deep blue water and frothy white waves. Popular with families, locals and tourists, this beach also boasts ideal swimming conditions and you may even see some surfers working on their skills. There’s also an on-site snack bar. You’ll find the beach about 25 miles southeast of Papeete in Papara.
