Marionette Marionette Marionette has been inspired by the ‘Popovy Sisters’ the creators of these utterly fascinating ‘manikin-like’ dolls. I am mesmerised by their unfettered creations, and am seduced by the stories they tell through art of Doll making. My models have taken on a doll-like quality and like the ‘Popovy Sisters’ the models clothing is a mixture of fantasy and Fettish. I have created unusual hair silhouettes and I explored the idea of mixing contrasting textures within the hairstyles. My colour entry is reminiscent of the colours seen in a water fall, it is complicated yet effortlessly fluid. My models reminded me of puppets hence the name ‘Marionette’ @hairandbarbernz
