A word from Kat on online retreats :

“Whereas we might expect to think of a retreat as getting away from it all, it’s very much my belief that it’s the turning inwards in which we find the gold. When we turn away, when we disconnect from our ‘real life’ it can be wonderful, but it can be yet another distraction – a focus on the outside location, on the people, the food. All wonderful things indeed - but these things can sometimes get in the way of finding time to connect to ourselves and our already present community. It’s so surprising how immensely transformational fitting in 10 hours on an online retreat over a weekend can be. It’s almost more potent to retreat amongst your daily life, perhaps with your partner, kids, pets and the stuff of your daily life around you. Now that is a real opportunity for connection! That truly is where we can connect to ourselves and be surrounded by the life we have chosen. Our practice is of accepting and befriending all aspects of ourselves and our lives. It’s only when we truly, deeply connect with ourselves, and get a chance to spend time and befriend ourselves, that we can truly see us as we are, and have a chance to reflect on what is within our own hearts and lives. The theme of the retreat next weekend is connection and courage. These are, I believe, the two essential qualities that will get us through the tougher times in our lives, alongside compassion, of course.

This year, because so many of us are struggling, the retreat is ‘Pay as you Feel’ – with a minimum payment of just £10 for the 10 hours of learning with @lucy_mccarthy_yoga & @yogawithnorman, I do hope we have now made these incredible teachers, truly accessible to all. #connection #courage #onlineretreat #yogaretreat #homeretreat
