If you’ve ever wondered how to avoid bubbles in your nail polish—this post is for you! ✍🏻
A common reason for bubbling is shaking a bottle before using it, which can cause air pockets that get trapped in polish itself. The easy solution is to start ROLLING the bottle in your hands instead. Avoid pumping the brush into the bottle for the same reason. ✅
Painting thick coats can also be to blame, especially if you’re not allowing the polish to dry down a bit before going in with the next coat. I always wipe off one side of the brush to remove the excess polish, paint the first coat, and then wait maybe 2-3 minutes before applying the next. 💅🏻
Sometimes I get bubbles in my top coat as well, but I do my best to brush them out as I’m applying it. ✨
And finally, heat and nail polish are not friends. You may get bubbling if your polish is stored in a warm room, or if you’re painting in a really warm place. Make sure you store your nail polish out of direct sunlight and in a temperate place. Do not store your polish in the bathroom or near a window, if possible. ☀️
Did I miss anything? If you have any other tips to avoid bubbling please share them with us! 🗣
