still processing the week spent in Guatemala for our Guate edition of the CC Revue. It was a beautiful trip & I will forever cherish the memories & space shared with friends new & old. wholesome seeing a community open up their arms & show us so much hospitality & love ~ I would like to thank mi kreyz @rmadridmm, @gerryyyyyyyy & the rest of the @2mundos.ca crew. This was an idea in the works for almost a year. A lot of hiccups & logistics that made it impossible at times but we did it & endlessly proud of all the hard work put into making this happen. @martucacomayuca, @anacoloma , @dddannni___ , @mariacriminal , What can I say...mil gracias to Kibi James, Alfred. & Pedazo for putting their trust in my hands in allowing me to bring them out to my home country to perform...it was the first time anyone has tried to do something like this in Guatemala let alone Central America. So that isn’t lost on me & I am grateful to work & know some amazing talented artists. More importantly such sweet & kind people behind these projects. I have a lot of love for them. I am so excited for our new Central American branch & our new wave of artists from the region 🍊🧡 Las Bachas, Magpie Jay, Leena Bae & Easy Easy 🍊🧡 la fiesta sigue y estoy muy emocionado que puedo trabajar con estos artistas increíbles. Special shout out to Easy Easy...I’m very proud to have had a helping hand in bringing them over to the states for their debut shows. The week we spent together was such a special experience & I can’t wait for more things we have in store together. To be real I was nervous how the public would receive the label but the turn out & engagement of the crowd blew all my expectations. It was so validating to witness people be receptive to new artists & all the kind words folks were saying, how important it was for them to know that there is a lil Guatemalan like me running a label & trying to make moves in the “industry”. Thank you all for always supporting CC. None of this wouldn’t be posible without the support y’all have shown the last 7 years. The label made by friends for friends.
