It’s the Secret Señora Lives of Bees 🐝 I have noticed so many more bees this fall in the ranchito and the huerto and I was surprised because I thought don’t bees only do their thing in the Spring? It turns out that, like señoras, bees don’t slow down during the Fall, but instead switch from needing protein to feed their babies, to craving carbs. They continue to forage throughout the autumn months and collect as much as posible to have a lovely stash for the cold invierno. So in many ways they are as busy as they can be. They’re also crankier too because it’s just too cold for them.
