If your polish chips immediately, try making some of these changes... ✍🏻 1). PREP YOUR NAILS Make sure they’re clean and dry, free from any lotions or oils, and run a bit of acetone over the nail plate before beginning. 2). USE A QUALITY BASE & TOP COAT I love a good anchoring base coat and a fast-drying top coat. Check out my Amazon storefront (link in bio) for some of my favorites. 3). APPLY TWO COATS OF POLISH Even if it’s a one-coat-wonder, apply two, and make sure the coats are not too thick. 4). PAINT THE FREE EDGE That includes your base and top coat. This will seal everything in. 5). AVOID PROLONGED SOAKING No showers right before or after painting, and wear gloves while washing dishes. 6). DON’T USE YOUR NAILS AS TOOLS Don’t pick at things, open soda cans with, or do anything else with your nails that would promote chipping. Everyone’s nails and lifestyles are different, but my manicures easily last a week without anything more than tipwear when I follow these steps, and that goes for all of the brands I use. 🗣 Do you have any tips that I missed?
