shame is where self goes to die. as i peel back the layers of shame i’ve armored myself with over the years, i realize i never wanted to hate these parts of myself. i never wanted to live in fear of myself, i just thought it was the only way i would survive - even if in pieces. i exist in one courageous whole these days. thanks for sharing @grandson
