Growing up, I knew of the Lord. I attended a Christian school, I learned the songs, I memorized the verses. I knew to be a good person, and I would even share some of my knowledge of the Gospels from class, but I lacked depth. I was missing something. Peace. Presence. The Power of the Holy Spirit. I first felt the Lord move in me my senior year of high school, and man oh man have I been so hungry, so EAGER to continue feeling Him, serving Him, loving Him!!! These past few years in college, I got caught up in trying to please people and prove that I got it all together. I got caught up in trying to fulfill my role as being an athlete, a captain, a student leader...someone that would be deemed as the epitome of “success”. But friends, I have come to learn that I will ALWAYS fall short, and my one and only role on this earth is so simple. LOVE the Lord my God. LOVE his people. BE A LIGHT. Today, in the same waters my Savior got baptized in, I have decided to publicly declare my submission to Jesus Christ!!!! God, shine your light into me so I can shine it onto others, and use me as a vessel to build your Kingdom! PRAISE HIM!!!!!!
